Contact Improvisation * Axis Syllabus * Somatics

with Scott Wells (US) & Sebastian Grubb (US/SE)

We are now offering 1-day and 2-day options if you would like to join for just part of the workshop. Message me!

Scott is on a teaching tour from the U.S. and we’re teaming up to offer this playful weekend workshop! We will meet at the intersection of biomechanics, somatic awareness, and experimentation. We are bringing movement exercises and frameworks that help participants expand their capacity to move with skill and freedom. About Scott Wells

In 1981 Scott discovered the pleasure of contact improvisation shortly after becoming obsessed with the struggles of modern dance. After receiving his MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois, Scott moved to San Francisco and started a dance company with everyone’s favorite dancer, Kathleen Hermesdorf. In 2005 Scott Wells received San Francisco’s most prestigious choreography award: The Isadora Duncan Award for Outstanding Choreography and was selected by Dance Magazine as one of the 25 To Watch. He now teaches dance technique and is recognized worldwide as a leading teacher of Contact Improvisation.
